The Encouragement of Sangha Affairs Management in public welfare of Kaengkhro District Chaiyaphum Province

Abstract

Objectives of this research were: 1. to study general conditions in promoting the the Sangha administration in the  Public welfare section  of the Sangha at Kaeng Khro District, Chaiyaphum Province,  2. to compare the opinions of the monks on the promotion of the Sangha administration in the public welfare section of the Sangha at Kaeng Khro District and  3. to study the problems, obstacles and suggestions for promoting  the Sangha administration in Public welfare administration section   of the Sangha Kaeng Khro District Chaiyaphum Province

Methodology was the mixed methods: The quantitative research by survey method  was conducted to collect data by questionnaires with the whole confidence value of 0.819.from the  samples of  212 monks in Kaeng Khro District. The data were analyzed by  descriptive statistics; frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation. t-test and testing the F value With one-way analysis of variance, ANOVA. and the qualitative research collected data from 10 key informants with in-depth interviewing  and analyzed data by descriptive interpretation. 


 

Findings were as follows:

                 1. Monks in Kaeng Khro District Chaiyaphum Province had opinions on the level of Sangha administration  in the public welfare second of the Sangha District, Kaeng Khro District Chaiyaphum Province at a high level ( = 3.92, SD = 0.397). Each aspect  was also at a high level namely;  community and local development  ( = 3.94, SD = 0.696). People's minds ( = 3.93, SD = 0.487) Arts and culture promotion ( = 3.90, SD = 0.513)

                 2.Compare the opinions of the monks towards the promotion of the administration of the Sangha in the public welfare of the Sangha District, KaengKhro District Chaiyaphum Province classified by personal factors, it was found that monks who had more Buddhist Lents, educational qualification, Dharma and Pali  educational levels did not  have different opinions towards the Sangha administration in the public welfare section  of the Sangha at Kaeng Khro District,  Chaiyaphum Province with statistical significant level of 0.05, denying the set hypothesis.  As for the monks with different  age, general education, and positions had different opinions towards the Sangha administration in the public welfaresection of the Sangha at  Kaeng Khro District, Chaiyaphum province, accepting the set hypothesis.

                 3. Problems, obstacles and suggestions for promoting the Sangha administration in public welfare section of the Sangha at Kaeng Khro District Chaiyaphum Province were found that 1. The development of the public mind is still lacking the exhibition or Dhammasangwet museum within monasteries, 2. Community and local development, the Sangha has no role in supporting people to live according to the way of sufficient agriculture. 3. Promoting arts and culture. there is still lacking  of personnel with specific knowledge in the application of arts, culture, traditions and local wisdom. Recommendation is that the Sangha encourages all monasteries to construct the Thammasangwet Museum. Recognizing the importance of organizing activities to encourage children and youth to participate in religious activities There are various projects that help the underprivileged poor, to set up a ransom for the cattle-buffalo to support the sufficiency agriculture. Develop personnel to be a volunteer leader and support the recycling of garbage. The monks should be active in restoring  local wisdom that was about to be lost. Create networks to carry on local traditions by new generations. The Sangha should coordinate with government agencies or various organizations to recruit funds to support the conservation of traditional arts and culture. And the clergy must encourage people to practice daily chanting in the household. To set up  a model for volunteer spirit, bringing people into construction of public utilities in the community. Promote the restoration of local wisdom that is about to be lost, as well as creating a network of local heritage traditions by new generations. By these  ways, Promotion of the Sangha administration in public welfare section of the Sangha at KaengKhro District Chaiyaphum Province  will be successful effectively.
