Development Model of Graduate Program Educational Management according to the Higher Education Standard of Mahachulalongkorn rajavidyalaya University (Buddhist Educational Administration)

Abstract

The aims of this research were; 1) to study the state of graduate education management according to the higher education standard of Mahachulalongkorn rajavidyalaya University, 2) to develop the model of development of graduate education management according to the higher education standard of Mahachulalongkorn rajavidyalaya University, and 3) to propose a model for the development of graduate education management according to the higher education standard of Mahachulalongkornraja vidyalaya University. The mixed research methods were used in the study. The quantitative data were collected by questionnaires from 351 samples and analyzed by means and standard deviation. The qualitative data were obtained from a seminar with 10 experts and focus group discussions with 8 experts.  The data were analyzed by content analysis.

The results of the study found that:

1. The state of graduate education management in accordance with higher education standards of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University in 7 aspects was at a high level overall. The highest level was on curriculum, followed by teachers, teaching process, budget, supporting factors, measurement and evaluation, and students respectively.

2. The development model of graduate education management according to the higher education standard of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University consisted of 4 main components: 1. Principles, 1) To be the center of Buddhist education in the world, 2) To be the core of the Sangha administration in Thailand, 3) To be the source of education with qualified teachers, innovation, artificial intelligence in producing qualified graduates, 2. Objectives, 1) To develop teachers, staff and students, 2) To develop teaching and learning processes, 3) To develop research and innovation systems, 3. Aims, 1) To develop a model for the development, 2) To apply the model in operation, 3) To monitor and evaluate the implementation of the model, and the fourth component consisted of; 1) 7 principles of graduate education management, 2) Principles of cycle quality, 3) The learning outcome standards of graduates, 4) The principles of Patisambida and Dhamma principles in Dutiyapapanika Sutta to support and  the development of education management, and 5) Development process by the tertiary education standard criteria; (1) curriculum development; (2) teacher development; (3) teaching process development; (4) student development; (5) development of measurement and evaluation; (6) development of supporting factors, and (7) development of budget.

3. The model for the development of graduate education management according to the higher education standard of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University was examined and approved by the experts that it was appropriate and feasible to implement in practice.
