Abstract

Objectives of this research were 1. to study Insight Meditation Master’s Potentials for Buddhism Dissemination of Meditation Centers at Sangha Administration, Region 2, 2. to propose a model of the Insight Meditation Master’s potentials development for Buddhism dissemination of Meditation Centers at Sangha Administration, Region 2

Methodology was the qualitative method collected data from 30 key informants by in-depth-interviewing to find out the potentials of insight medication masters at Sangha Administration, region 2 to synthesize into a model of potentials development before submitting to participants for public hearing in order to have the standardized model before submitting to the public.

Findings were as follows:

1. The insight meditation masters at Sangha Administration, Region 2 had knowledge and potentials at good level, only that they should develop themselves for more potentials. Some masters had good academic knowledge, some masters were skillful in meditation practice. Each masters had different skill and uniqueness. Additional development would help them become more effective meditation masters in the future. Additional and continuous self development would help the insight meditation masters become powerful task force for sustainable Buddhism propagation.

2. The model of Insight meditation master’s potentials development for Buddhism dissemination of Meditation Centers at Sangha Administration, Region 2 consisted of the following aspects : Knowledge ; knowledge implanting by undergoing training and learning from those who have potentials and exchanging knowledge among masters, then transferring the knowledge and skill to other masters for integrated development, Skill ; training in teamwork skill. In order for work to be completed, teamwork that needs to share individual skill is in need for development. Further learning by energetic work to gain more knowledge and experiences for one selves so that, when encountering problems, one can solve the problems with experienced skills. Personality ; Physical and emotional personalities development would lead to education, motivation, value and interest for good, admirable and intellectual personality. Characteristics ; Good relationship with co-workers, colleagues for the good work performance. Realistic world view development by actual practice through training in order to gain real knowledge of reasons and results, then gradually cognitive domain creating to understand all things clearly, Attitude ; Knowledge, experiences, skills integration to create new ideas, the ideas that are new, creative and tactful with new direction to move to the target effectively. Using new ideas integrated with actual practice and experiences to create creativeness.
