ABSTRACT
The present study consisted of three main objectives, namely,
1) to investigate the Community Development Strategy of Nuekhlong Sub-District municipality Nuekhlong District, Krabi Province 2) to investigate guidelines on Development of the Community Development Strategy Nuekhlong Sub-District municipality Nuekhlong District, Krabi Province 3) to explore problem and Threats on development of the Community Development Strategy of Nuekhlong Sub-District municipality Nuekhlong District, Krabi Province
The study employed a mixed method research, with a quantitative research design of a survey. The questionnaire was used to collect data about Strategy level of Nuekhlong Sub-District municipality. The subjects of the study were 2 Groups, Government employees totaling 67 subjects and general people in the municipality totaling 351 subjects . Data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences program. Descriptive statistics of frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, as well as inferential statistics of t-test, One-Way ANOVA, and Scheffe’s post hoc comparison were used to analyze data. In addition, in-depth interviews were used with 8 key informants, and data were analyzed by means of content analysis.
The study findings revealed that:
1. The overall Community Development Strategy of Nuekhlong
Sub-District municipality Nuekhlong District, Krabi Province of Government employees was at a high level in all five aspects. When considering each aspect, it could be seen that the mean score of the environment and Natural Resources management aspect was at a high level, while the mean scores of the psychological aspect, the Politics and management aspect, the society and quality of life aspect, the infrastructure aspect, and the aspect was at a lowest level, the economy and tourism, respectively.However, The overall Community Development Strategy of Nuekhlong Sub-District municipality Nuekhlong District, Krabi Province of general people was at a medium level in all five aspects. When considering each aspect, it could be seen that the mean score of the infrastructure aspect was at a high level, while the mean scores of the the Politics and management aspect, the society and quality of life aspect, the environment and Natural Resources management aspect, aspect was at a lowest level, economy and tourism, respectively.
2. The hypothesis testing showed the Government employees who were different in ages and experience of work had different Community Development Strategy of Nuekhlong Sub-District municipality Nuekhlong District, Krabi Province with statistical significance at 0.05 level. Howerver, the Government employees who were different in genders and position of work showed no differences in Nuekhlong Sub-District municipality Nuekhlong District, Krabi Province at at 0.05 level, which did not support the study hypothesis the Government employees who were different in genders, ages, experience of work and position of work had different Community Development Strategy of in Nuekhlong Sub-District municipality Nuekhlong District, Krabi Province. And The hypothesis testing showed the general people who were different in genders, career and educational backgrounds had different Community Development Strategy of Nuekhlong Sub-District municipality Nuekhlong District, Krabi Province with statistical significance at 0.05 level. Howerver, the General people who were different in ages showed no differences in The General people in Nuekhlong Sub-District, Nuekhlong District, Krabi Province at at 0.05 level, which did not support the study hypothesis the Government employees who were different in genders, ages, career and educational backgrounds had different Community Development Strategy of Nuekhlong Sub-District municipality Nuekhlong District, Krabi Province.
3. Regarding recommendations on development of Community Development Strategy of the Community Development Strategy of municipality Nuekhlong Sub-District, Nuekhlong District, Krabi Province, should study and compare Nuekhlong Sub-District municipality Nuekhlong District, Krabi and the Other Community Development Strategy of Nuekhlong Sub-District municipality Nuekhlong District, Krabi Province. Should study and apply adherence to the Buddhist principles in Community Development Strategy of Nuekhlong Sub-District municipality Nuekhlong District, Krabi Province, and should study model of the development of Community Development Strategy of The Community Development Strategy of Nuekhlong Sub-District municipality Nuekhlong District, Krabi Province.
