Three objectives of this research were: (1) to study the Dhamma self-practice of personnel at the Buddachinaraj hospital, Phitsanulok province, (2) to study the duty performance of personnel at the Buddachinaraj hospital, Phitsanulok province, and (3) to study the relationship between the Dhamma Self-practice and the duty performance of personnel at the Buddachinaraj hospital, Phitsanulok province. The sample was 320 persons of 1,812 personnel at the Buddachinaraj hospital, Phitsanulok province. The research instrument for data collection was questionnaire, analyzed with the use of the SPSS program. The statistics to analyze the general collected data was frequency, percentage, means, and standard deviation (S.D.) with describing the Dhamma self-practice and duty performance analyzed with the use of Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation Coefficient ( r ).
A result of this study was found in the following aspects.
1. The personnel at the Buddachinaraj Hospital, Phitsanulok province generally followed four sublime states of mind (Brahmavihāra) in the high level
( =3.76). If each aspect was considered, it was learned from the highest level to the lowest level: the sympathetic state practiced in the high level ( =4.04), equanimity practiced in the high level ( =3.99), loving kindness practiced in the middle level ( =3.45), and compassion practiced in the middle level ( =3.36).
2. The personnel at the Buddachinaraj Hospital, Phitsanulok province generally followed four paths of accomplishment (Iddhipāda) in the high level ( = 3.04). If each aspect was considered, it was learned from the highest level to the lowest level: effort practiced in the high level ( =4.11), thoughtfulness practiced in the high level ( =4.11), aspiration in the high level ( = 4.03), and investigation practiced in the high level ( =3.95).
3. The personnel at the Buddachinaraj Hospital, Phitsanulok province generally performed their duty in the high level ( =4.14).
4. The self-practice of four sublime states of mind and the duty performance done by the personnel at the Buddachinaraj hospital, Phitsanulok province had a positive relationship in differently statistical significance at 0.05. This result accepted the given hypothesis with the high relationship (r – 0.630).
5. The self-practice of four paths of accomplishment and the duty performance done by the personnel at the Buddachinaraj hospital, Phitsanulok province had a positive relationship in differently statistical significance at 0.05. This result accepted the given hypothesis with the highest relationship (r – 0.804).
